Taoist longevity breathing is an eastern breathing system with some similarities to yoga's pranayama methodology. It is often used in parallel with Tai Chi exercising.
The fundamental difference between the two, is that pranayama breathing involves holding the breath, with emphasis on core and upper chest breathing, while the taoist method emphasis kidney and upper back breathing where the lungs are located.

Breath is never held or restricted in order to create a more relaxed, circular and whole-body breathing pattern, that can become part of your every day living.
